Kate Nash CD Cover

Her name is at the top of the picture in a funky writing style with the two second letters the letter ‘A’ are switched showing a youthfulness as well as the colour it is a electric light blue which is colourful she wants it to stand out but not too much otherwise it would have been bolder.

The name of the song is really small and in tiny fancy handwriting maybe even written by Kate Nash this gives a personal touch and is the link between the audience and the artist but because it is so small it seems as it is not important as her brand image and the rest of her art being in the picture because it is just the name.

The three fish are the first thing you see because they are right in the middle and it is the biggest thing in the picture especially the red fish. Again it shows a youth and like lightness and a playful theme because of the primary colours red yellow and blue which many adults forget but children know. It is like she is a child in an art class i think it shows that she is trying to say she is an artist focusing solely on her art and not other distractions.

  1. TEACHER COMMENT: You have identified the connotations of the colours well, use this to create meaning in your own production.
