I created this to accompany my product. It will be a CD Cover as well as a poster for my product.
I enlarged the font of the stars name to improve artist recognition within the public also because there is no image of the star so this is the only form of how the audience is going to recognize the artist so I made it stand out from the picture by choosing black because it’s bold. I changed the font to a more personal font so the audience can relate to the artists.
I used naturalistic lighting and a real location to show that actual product was light hearted and enjoyable also that it wasn’t from a major independent record label with fake lighting and a green screen created picture to I could attract my target audience within my subculture.
Mise en scene is that of trees and a river in the background with the grass in the summer. I chose this because it is a happy serene location giving off a happy feel. Also it is very British location and reminds the audience of the British country developed this idea from the scouting for girls CD Cover also I done this because Kate Nash is a British artist and to show her roots.
TEACHER COMMENT: Your analysis shows taht you have encompassed the 'down to earth' indie style of the artist. Consider how you could manipluate the image to strengthen the message you are trying to convey through colour and or layering of different images to build more of a montage effect that emphasises the key points.
